israelinsider is being launched today as a web publication aimed at providing both an in-depth and a wide-angle view of the Israeli nation in all its immediacy and diversity.

Six days a week and throughout each day we will scan the local and world media to present breaking news, provocative views, and insightful analysis of what is happening in Israel. And our dedicated staff of writers, editors, designers, and multimedia specialists will create fresh, original, provocative content for you.

We are independent and non-partisan. About half of our staff was born in Israel. Others came here from around the world, from America to Oceania. Politically we come from left, right and center. We comprise diverse faiths, colors, and ethnicities. Our goal is to get behind the headlines and the shopworn stereotypes to present the clashing ideas and conflicting passions that make life in our neighborhood so intense.

We invite writers, photographers, designers, and professionals who share our passion for Israel to contribute their creative perspectives and works for possible publication. We are a non-commercial publication and your contributions will be voluntary, but they will be much appreciated as we attempt to carve out a distinctive niche in the realm of ideas and images of the Israeli experience.
